MELBOURNE, Australia -- World No. 1s Rafael Nadal and Caroline Wozniacki have been installed as the top seeds for the 2011 Australian Open.

The 2009 champion Nadal is followed by reigning titlist Roger Federer, 2008 champion Novak Djokovic, French Open runner-up Robin Soderling and last year's Melbourne runner-up Andy Murray, in the men's top five.

The 16-time major champion and former top-ranked Federer is a four-time Aussie Open champ and was the '09 runner-up to Nadal, who will try to become the first man in 42 years to win all four majors in succession. Aussie legend Rod Laver was the last man to turn the trick when he won all four Grand Slam events in 1969.

The rest of the men's top 10 is Wimbledon runner-up Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer, Andy Roddick, Fernando Verdasco and Mikhail Youzhny. Roddick is joined in the top 20 by fellow Americans Mardy Fish (16th), Sam Querrey (18th) and John Isner (20th).

Following Wozniacki, the women's top five is rounded out by U.S. Open and Wimbledon runner-up Vera Zvonareva, U.S. Open champ Kim Clijsters, Venus Williams and French Open runner-up Samantha Stosur.

The rest of the women's top 10 is French Open champion Francesca Schiavone, Jelena Jankovic, Victoria Azarenka, Li Na and Shahar Peer.

Former No. 1s Justine Henin and Maria Sharapova are seeded 11th and 14th, respectively. Henin was last year's runner-up to five-time champion Serena Williams, who captured the last two Aussie Open women's crowns, but will miss the 2011 edition due to injury. Henin titled here in 2005, while Sharapova was the 2008 winner.
