Milos Raonic reached two milestones Tuesday.

With his fourth-round victory at the Sony Open on Tuesday, the Thornhill, Ont., native secured his first quarterfinals berth at the event along with the 100th hardcourt victory of his career.

The Canadian put away Germany’s Benjamin Becker with a 6-3, 6-4 win in Miami.

Raonic, 23, powered past his opponent with 15 aces to Becker’s zero.

The tournament’s 12th seed, Raonic will face either No. 1 seed Rafael Nadal of Spain or 14th seed Faibio Fognini of Italy in the quarters.

Raonic is 0-4 against Nadal for his career and split a pair of matches against Fognini in 2013.
