Jesse Levine loses, Milos Raonic onto consolation

Jesse Levine nice run in New Zealand came to an end on Thursday in his first taste playing under the Canadian flag.
The Ottawa-born Levine, who played professionally as an American since turning pro in 2007, was defeated by former compatriot Sam Querrey 6-4, 7-6(5) at the Heineken Open quarterfinals in Auckland.
Meanwhile, Milos Raonic advanced into the consolation final of the AAMI Classic in Melbourne on Thursday with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Croatia's Ivan Dodig.
The native of Thornhill, Ont., and world No. 15 will next take on Italian Fabio Fognini for fifth place at the exhibition event in preparation for the Australian Open.
