Raonic quickly bows out in Spain
By QMI Agency

Canadian Milos Raonic made a quick exit Wednesday from the Valencia Open.

Raonic was upset 7-5, 7-6 (1) by No. 63-ranked Gilles Muller of Luxembourg in the opening round of the ATP tournament in Spain.

The Canadian was the eighth seed and came into the event ranked No. 15 in the world. The early exit was a setback for Raonic's hopes of qualifying for the ATP World Tour Finals, Nov. 5-12 in London.

Raonic will play next week in the Paris Masters and likely will need to make it to the final to have any chance to qualify for the eight-man WTF. He entered the Valencia event in 13th place in the points race.

Do you think it's a good idea for the U.S. Open to hold the men's final on a Monday?
