After reeling off four consecutive wins -- three in qualifying -- at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna -- Canadian Vasek Pospisil was eliminated Thursday by Paolo Lorenzi of Italy.

Lorenzi, No. 82 in the ATP world rankings, won 6-4, 6-4. He moves on to the quarterfinals.

Pospisil, 22, of Vancouver, is ranked 113th.

He and fellow Canadian Milos Raonic will play next week at the Valencia Open in Spain.
