Easy advance for Raonic at Japan Open
By QMI Agency

Milos Raonic of Canada advanced Thursday to the quarterfinals of the Japan Open in Tokyo. (AFP)

Canadian Milos Raonic took advantage of an ailing Viktor Troicki to advance Thursday to the quarterfinals of the Japan Open in Tokyo. Raonic, ranked No. 15 in the world and the sixth seed in Tokyo, was leading 3-0 when Troicki couldn't continue to fight through a sore right calf.

It will be the ninth appearance in an ATP Tour quarterfinal this season for Raonic.

The 21-year-old next will play Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia, ranked No. 9 in the world and the third seed.
