Milos Raonic to meet 6-foot-10 Croatian Ivo Karlovic
By QMI Agency

Third-seeded Milos Raonic will take on an opponent he will be forced to look up to at the Thailand Open in Bangkok.

Raonic, ranked 14th in the world, will take on 6-foot-10 Croatian Ivo Karlovic Thursday in the second round of the ATP 250 event. Karlovic, ranked 80th in the world, beat Australian Marinko Matosevic 6-3, 6-4 Wednesday to set up the showdown with the 6-foot-5 Canadian, who had a first-round bye due to his seeding.

If Raonic gets past Karlovic, who like the Canuck is one of the biggest servers on the tour, he will face seventh-seeded Jarkko Nieminen of Finland in the third round. Nieminen, ranked 38th in the world, beat Philipp Petzschner of Germany 7-6 (1), 6-2 in the second round.

Raonic also has second-seeded Richard Gasquet of France and eighth-seeded Bernard Tomic of Austria on his half of the draw.
