By QMI Agency

Milos Raonic's season wrapped up Monday as he lost to Julien Benneteau in the first round of the Paris Masters.

The No. 54-ranked Benneteau won 6-7(5), 7-6(5), 6-4 as Raonic had 39 unforced errors and 22 aces.

"I don't think it was really that bad," Raonic said. "He just played really well and played better than me. He took his chances, and he capitalized on his opportunities."

Raonic, of Thornhill, Ont., was 29th in ATP rankings released Monday.
