Roddick, Ferrero pull out of French Open
By Sports Network

PARIS - Former world No. 1s Andy Roddick and Juan Carlos Ferrero pulled out of the 2011 French Open on Thursday.

The former U.S. Open champion Roddick and former French Open titlist Ferrero are both nursing right shoulder injuries. The currently world No. 11 Roddick beat Ferrero in the 2003 U.S. Open final. The 72nd-ranked Ferrero captured the French Open in '03 and was the Roland Garros runner-up in 2002.

Roddick, who is currently riding a four-match losing streak on the ATP World Tour, has never advanced beyond the fourth round at the French Open, with that fourth-round showing coming two years ago.

The men's draw for the French Grand Slam will be revealed on Friday, while the event will commence Sunday in Paris.

Do you think it's a good idea for the U.S. Open to hold the men's final on a Monday?
