BELGRADE, Serbia -- Serbian hero Novak Djokovic was an easy quarterfinal winner Friday in his hometown of Belgrade at the Serbia Open.

The top-seeded world No. 2 star handled Slovenian Blaz Kavcic 6-3, 6-2 in 1 hour, 26 minutes on the red clay at MGM Belgrade.

The high-flying Djokovic, who is now a perfect 26-0 this year, is the reigning Australian Open champion and 2010 U.S. Open runner-up and already owns four titles this season.

Djokovic captured his hometown event two years ago and led the Serbs to their first-ever Davis Cup title with a victory over France in last year's final right here in Belgrade.

Up next for Djokovic will be seventh-seeded fellow Serb Janko Tipsarevic, who held off rising Indian Somdev Devvarman 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 on Day 5. Djokovic is 2-0 lifetime against Tipsarevic, who also hails from Belgrade. Djokovic beat Tipsarevic in the second round here two years ago.

Saturday's other semifinal will pit Feliciano Lopez against Italian Filippo Volandri. Lopez upset fourth-seeded fellow Spaniard Albert Montanes 6-4, 6-4, while Volandri vaulted past Spain's Marcel Granollers 6-2, 6-4.

The 2011 Belgrade winner will pocket $96,800.
