British tennis player Andy Murray is as competitive off the court as he is on it.

Unfortunately, the fourth ranked player in the world went a little overboard last Wednesday by injuring his hand playing a video game on the eve of his brother's wedding.

Murray was forced to wrap his hand in ice after straining a tendon while playing Pro Evolution Soccer on his PlayStation with Venezuelan Davis Cup player Dani Vallverdu.

"Aagh! I just lost 1 match to Dani at the new Pro Evolution and I think I broke my hand!" Murray wrote on his website. "Icing the hand -- time to grow up Andy!" he later added.

Murray, 23, fulfilled his role as brother Jamie's best man on Thursday.

"Andy's hand is a bit sore, but the tennis season is over and he's said that nothing will stop him doing his bit for Jamie on his big day," a close friend told Scotland's Daily Express.

Murray's 24-year-old brother is a champion tennis player himself, winning the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon in 2007.
