With apologies to Remi Gaillard, McDonald’s has assembled its own dream team of soccer trick shot artists ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.
Five dribbling all-stars are featured in a spot by the fast-food chain and perform tricks at several locations in the tournament’s host country. They include an old man who surprises beachgoers by getting off his motorized scooter to do some acrobatics and a young man who does tricks in moving traffic.
The woman in a little black dress who dribbles a ball on a busy street while wearing high heels is none other than Argentine model Fiorella Castillo. She has done this sort of thing before.
But the real star of the ad is 10-year-old Ciaran Duffy, a talented boy who is also known as the “Irish Messi.” Duffy first gained notoriety on YouTube, where his soccer videos have millions of views.
According to Newstalk, Duffy will walk out with Spain and Chile’s stars on the pitch June 18 at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadium as a McDonald’s player escort.
The whole ad is worth checking out. Each star has a few neat tricks up their sleeves.
