Whitecaps cut three
By QMI Agency

The Vancouver Whitecaps announced Thursday that they will not exercise the options of goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre, midfielder Tiago Ulisses and striker Etienne Barbara.

The 30-year-old Barabara, a native of Malta, was the only one of the three players to see time with the MLS team. He played a pair of regular-season games and made two other appearances in the Canadian Championship.

Brazilian Ulisses, 23, started two games for the Whitecaps reserve team while Sylvestre, 19, made four appearances in two seasons with the 'Caps reserves.
