TORONTO - Toronto FC bench boss Ryan Nelsen is certainly not the kind of coach who dwells on the past.

Hell, if any TFC coach spent much time thinking about the history of this franchise, they’d probably crawl into a padded room, tuck their feet into their chest and sway for a few hours. As Toronto sports fans are well aware, success and TFC have not gone hand-in-hand since the team came into being in 2007.

Still, Nelsen was talking about the past following a workout on Tuesday at the team’s practice facility in Downsview from the point of view that, he believes the mind-set of this club is finally changing, for the best.

Nelsen believes this year’s squad has the horses and the mind-set to finally put those brutal years behind them and give fans hope that the Reds will not only finally make the playoffs this year, but could make some noise when they get there.
