KANSAS CITY - There were mixed, if not confused emotions following Toronto FC’s 2-2 draw in Kansas City on Friday night.

A man down through the final half-hour, the Reds, according to some, fought tooth and nail to salvage a point when all looked lost.

At full-time, Sporting KC head coach Peter Vermes was asked if he would have taken a draw before the start of the match.

At the conclusion of a lengthy explanation, he said yes, agreeing his side was indeed in trying times.
