TORONTO - Toronto FC billed Monday's announcement as the biggest in the club's eight-year history.

And that was before surprising fans and media with an additional big-name signing in front of an unprecedented amount of media and fans.

Shortly after confirming Jermain Defoe as the club's newest Designated Player at Real Sports in downtown Toronto, MLSE head honcho Tim Leiweke welcomed U.S. international Michael Bradley to the stage, confirming the former Roma midfielder as TFC's third DP.

Between them, they'll cost the Reds close to $100 million over six years, including transfer fees.

Defoe has signed a 4-year deal worth roughly $30 million while Bradley is believed to have inked a six-year deal worth the same.
