TORONTO - End-of-season exit interviews are jammed packed with emotional highs and lows.

Swan songs, what-ifs and everything in between, not to mention a few farewells.

Although Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko insisted Monday that a host of decisions hadn’t yet been made, three of the club’s longest-serving members — Richard Eckersley, Stefan Frei and Danny Koevermans — said their piece.

“It’s disappointing,” Eckersley said of being dropped from the squad through the final month of the season. “But I can understand (head coach Ryan Nelsen’s) point. He’s planning for the future.

“It’s clear to see that I’m not going to be here next season. I’d like to stay in MLS.”

But after TFC attempted to offload the English fullback’s big contract throughout the season, Eckersley’s future remains the murkiest of the aforementioned three.
