Two months ago, Saturday's dream scenario seemed as farfetched as Toronto FC bringing back Mo Johnston as a club consultant.

For it to happen, Saturday's opponent, the Montreal Impact, had to drop a lot of points to make this weekend a reality.

Back in September, TFC's biggest rival was top of the table ahead of a pair of home dates.

The Impact lost both - 2-1 to the Columbus Crew followed by a 3-0 dismantling at the hands of the Vancouver Whitecaps.

After losing three of its next four games, the Impact now sit dangerously close to dropping out of playoff position on the final day of the season.

"A big game for Montreal with playoff ramifications," TFC assistant coach Fran O'Leary said. "We'll just look to take care of ourselves and hopefully finish the season with a good performance and a win."
