The only good thing to come out of Toronto FC’s stunning 1-0 loss to 10-man Philadelphia on Saturday night was the fact it moved the Union to within a point of the Montreal Impact, who find themselves plummeting towards Toronto FC in the table and potentially out of the playoff picture.

Anyone who has followed Toronto since its inception knows the Reds, historically speaking, have always found a way to lose.

Saturday, though, might have been yet another disheartening first.

In truth, three points were there for the taking.

After the Union went down a man with 10 minutes to go, the Reds had multiple chances to go a goal up on the road, ruining Philly’s post-season chances in the process.
