It must be late July at BMO Field.

“Are you available?” Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen asked a media member during Friday’s pre-match training session.

The Reds welcome the New York Red Bulls to BMO Field Saturday afternoon with limited options in the attack and next to no confidence following a pair of uninspiring road performances that kept them winless in five.

To make matters worse, Nelsen announced Friday that Robert Earnshaw (hamstring) will likely miss Saturday’s match as he joins Danny Koevermans (calf) on the treatment table.

With Luis Silva long gone, that leaves Jeremy Brockie, Justin Braun and Andrew Wiedeman as the only options up front — something that doesn’t exactly strike fear in the opposition when you consider Toronto has been shut out in four of its past five fixtures.

“Hopefully it’s their down time now,” Nelsen said of New York, a side that shocked BMO Field with a stoppage-time win when the two sides met in April.
