TORONTO - A deal to bring Uruguayan attacker Diego Forlan to BMO Field is far from over the line — but seemingly not out of the question.
A day after reports stated a deal to bring the World Cup vet to Toronto FC as being complete, head coach Ryan Nelsen didn’t write-off the Forlan rumours as fiction.
“Doesn’t he play in Brazil somewhere?” Nelsen joked with reporters on Tuesday. “(Forlan’s) a player who’s under contract (with Internacional) so I can’t really talk about him. Obviously, he’s a good player. Wouldn’t be too bad to have him, but we’ll see.”
