A recent influx of British playmakers has been given mixed reviews by Toronto FC revellers and writers through the first two months of the season.

Starved for an attack that’s both fluent and full of goal-scoring threats, rather fickle TFC fans have splintered in every which way when it comes to who head coach Ryan Nelsen should trot out in the club’s attacking positions.

Is Hogan Ephraim better suited out wide or in the crowded area between Toronto’s midfield and highest man? Is John Bostock a Joao Plata-like 1-in-6 passenger or a player who will consistently threaten opposing back lines?
