TORONTO - Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen chooses to focus on the positives.

Ahead of Saturday afternoon's home opener against Sporting KC at the Rogers Centre, Toronto's latest bench boss refused to let the tone of his pre-game presser turn pessimistic.

"Yeah, you're right, Vancouver didn't have many shots on goal," Nelsen said when asked how he plans to fix Toronto's tepid attack.

He continued: "So that was really positive. We'd like to get some more (attempts on goal) as well."

As he's said from the get-go, the New Zealander is on a mission to change the culture at a club that has been soaked in negativity for six years.

When someone asks how he plans to improve something, Nelsen reminds them of something that's already going well.
