TORONTO - Toronto FC announced Wednesday the club put seven Reds on waivers following Montreal’s 2012 expansion draft.

Demitrius Omphroy, Eddy Viator, Kyle Davies, Leandre Griffit and Matt Gold round out a list of waived Reds that saw limited or no first-team action throughout last season.

After seeing significant time in both the 2011 MLS regular season and the CONCACAF Champions League, Javier Martina (23 appearance) and Canadian Gianluca Zavarise (14 appearances) complete the list.

The Vancouver Whitecaps made Bilal Duckett, Nizar Khalfan and Alexandre Morfaw available for selection in yesterday’s MLS waiver draft.

Khalfan was picked up by the Philadelphia Union while none of Toronto’s seven waived players were claimed.
