Toronto FC trades for defender
By KURTIS LARSON, QMI Agency

TORONTO - Toronto announced yesterday the club has acquired former U.S. under-20 defender Kyle Davies from the LA Galaxy for defender Dasan Robinson. “(Davies) is a young central defender with leadership experience,” head coach Aron Winter said. “I’d like to thank Dasan for his contributions to our club.” Acquired from the Chicago Fire in July, Robinson’s lone appearance came last month against Panama’s Tauro in Champions league group play. Davies, 22, began his career with League One side Southampton in 2007 where he never made a first-team appearance. He signed with Real Salt Lake through a weighted lottery in 2009 before consecutive trades to Dallas and LA. Davies has yet to make an MLS appearance in 2011.
