TFC signs Jamaican defender Williams
By Sports Network

TORONTO -- Toronto FC signed 6-foot-2, 187-pound Jamaican international defender Dicoy Williams, the Major League Soccer club announced on Thursday.

"Dicoy is a strong defender that is solid in one-on-one situations and has a lot of good qualities," Toronto FC coach Aron Winter said. "He performed well in training camp but we couldn't sign him until we made sure we had the international spot."

The 24-year-old Williams most recently played for Harbour View FC in Jamaica. He has also earned six caps with the Jamaican national team.
