TORONTO - Toronto FC midfielder Carl Robinson underwent season-ending surgery Thursday morning to repair a facial injury.
Robinson was hurt in a collision with another player during training this week and opted for the procedure, which was successful, after seeing a specialist on Wednesday.
The recovery time is estimated at 6-8 weeks.
Toronto has three regular season remaining, starting with Saturday's affair against the San Jose Earthquakes.
The club is three points out of a playoff spot.
