MONTREAL -- David Beckham will be in uniform at BMO Field on Saturday against Toronto FC, only if he is kicked off the England national team in the next few days.

And that isn't likely to happen, meaning that for the second straight season, FC fans will miss seeing Beckham in action.

NOT COMING TO T.O.

Patrick Donnelly, manager of media relations for the Los Angeles Galaxy, said yesterday that the Galaxy expect their star midfielder to be with the England side for friendlies against the U.S. squad tonight at Wembley Stadium and against Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday in Port of Spain.

"Unless he is released from the national team, we expect that he will be with England for the Trinidad and Tobago match," Donnelly said, via e-mail. "Therefore, he would not be available for our game against Toronto FC on May 31. Per FIFA rules, we are required to release players when called up for national team games on established FIFA dates."

Beckham missed the Galaxy game at BMO Field last season because of a sore right knee. He currently is playing well in his second season in the MLS, scoring four goals, along with five assists, in nine games.
