Kuyt's late PK damages Arsenal's title hopes
By Sports Network

Dirk Kuyt converted a penalty kick on the final play of the game to help Liverpool earn a 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The match entered stoppage time without a goal, but there was 12 minutes of it because of a lengthy injury delay for Liverpool's Jamie Carragher.

And that is when things got interesting as the Gunners were awarded a penalty kick eight minutes into extra time when Cesc Fabregas was brought down inside the box by Liverpool's Jay Spearing.

Van Persie sent goalkeeper Pepe Reina the wrong way from the penalty spot, and he appeared to wrap up three vital points for Arsenal.

However, Liverpool had one final chance when a free kick from Luis Suarez was blocked, only for Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue to run over Lucas inside the area.

That gave Kuyt the opportunity to spoil Arsenal's afternoon, and he did so with a well-taken penalty kick that found its way inside the right post.

Arsenal has now drawn four of its last five games in the league, leaving the club six points back of leaders Manchester United with six games to play.

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
  Yes
  No
No ... but the refs seem to be evening it out themselves
