Evra, Ribery rejoin France
By Sports Network

PARIS, France -- Patrice Evra and Franck Ribery were called up to France's national team Thursday for the first time since the World Cup.

Evra and Ribery both served bans for being part of the team that walked out of training during last summer's tournament in South Africa. France failed to win a single match at the tournament.

Former captain Evra was handed a five-game ban following the incident, while Ribery was given a three-match ban.

Striker Nicolas Anelka was at the center of the controversy, after an argument with former coach Raymond Domenech led to his dismissal from the team. Anelka was later handed an 18-match ban, all but ending his international career.

France plays at Luxembourg in a Euro 2012 qualifier March 25, and then plays a friendly at home against Croatia on March 29.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
