Soccer's world governing body has come down with a harsh penalty against Canadian women's soccer star and team captain Christine Sinclair on Friday.
FIFA suspended and fined Sinclair for four matches for "unsporting behaviour" after she criticized the refereeing at the London Olympic semifinal soccer game against the U.S.
In a release, the Canadian Soccer Association has requested from FIFA the reasons for the suspension and fine.
