For a professional soccer program still in its infancy, it's incredibly premature to get into the "what ifs" of bringing a Major League Soccer franchise to Ottawa.

It's also borderline insulting to the crop of North American Soccer League players that have yet to play even one match on the new home turf at TD Place.

It's been said more than once by more than one person since the arrival of Ottawa Fury FC that so and so won't develop an active interest in soccer in Ottawa until the day an MLS franchise suddenly moves into town.
