Ask anyone in the Kansas City metro.

Sporting KC, Saturday night's MLS Cup hosts, are the favourites to claim their second title.

Funny enough, most media members have bought into all that theatre, too.

During MLS Cup festivities this week, there has been a genuine feel that there's only one team in the room.

Sporting KC, at home, with all the momentum, is expected to lift the Phil F. Anschutz Trophy in front of home support Saturday.

It just feels like it's supposed to happen.

It started Thursday when Western Conference champions Real Salt Lake made a less-than-grandiose entrance into the city.

After their charter flight was delayed, team members showed up more than an hour late for their pre-game press conference, their head coach wearing camouflage pants.

Talk about relaxed.

By that time, half the room had emptied. The hometown heroes -- Sporting Kansas City -- had already come and gone.
