Perhaps it’s fitting Colin Miller has traded in his FC Edmonton gear for national team colours on Canada Day.

The FC Edmonton head coach departed for California Monday to take the reins of the Canadian squad for the upcoming Gold Cup tournament.

Canada opens the continental championship Sunday against Martinique in Pasadena, California. They also face Mexico in Seattle on July 11, and then wrap up the group stage of the tournament against Panama in Denver on July 14.
