New Ottawa soccer team not about to reveal name just yet
By TIM BAINES, QMI Agency

OTTAWA - It wouldn't be a reach to suggest the nation's capital team, which will begin play in the North American Soccer League in 2014, will be called Ottawa Fury FC.

But Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group's John Pugh says that isn't a lock and isn't giving too much away, saying that answer will come soon enough.

"When the name comes out, there has to be a story behind it," said Pugh, who already runs an Ottawa Fury women's team as well as a lower-level men's team and development academy. "Our branding company will be back in town (in the next few days) and we'll review it. We participated in a naming campaign and there were more than 4,000 suggestions."

The name Ottawa Fury FC was submitted as a trademark request last month by the same group that asked for approval on several versions of the Ottawa Red Blacks, a proposed CFL team name. OSEG will own and operate both teams.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
