Canada's women's soccer team lost 2-0 Tuesday to France in the final of the Cyprus Cup.
The Canadians were the two-time defending champions. Marie-Laure Delie and Louisa Necib scored for France.
Canadian team player Rhian Wilkinson said a couple of errors undermined what was a good defensive effort overall.
"For us, this demonstrates that there is work to do before the Olympics," Wilkinson said.
Canada is ranked seventh in the world, one rung behind France.
