Real Madrid's Ronaldo has ankle injury

MADRID, SPAIN - Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo suffered an ankle injury Saturday and missed training Tuesday, the La Liga club said.

Ronaldo suffered a "Grade I sprain and a contusion on the left ankle," Madrid released on its website, and trained "indoors" Tuesday. The injury occurred in a 4-1 win against Atletico Madrid on Saturday. The Portuguese international played the entire match.

Real Madrid did not disclose how long Ronaldo would be sidelined. Real visits Sporting Gijon on Saturday in La Liga.
