MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - Manchester City confirmed Tuesday that striker Carlos Tevez has been fined four weeks' wages after refusing to enter a Champions League match as a substitute against Bayern Munich last month.

The club also suspended Tevez for a two week period, deemed to have already been served, in addition to handing the 27-year-old a formal, written warning regarding his future conduct.

Tevez has a 14-day window to appeal the decision to the Manchester City board.
