Has scored more than 60 goals in 87 internationals. A volatile player, she spent 40 months away from the national team after disagreement with her coach. Her return gives the Germans a lot of scoring power.

CHRISTINE SINCLAIR, CANADA

At 28 she is coming into the prime of her career. Sinclair is Canada's most capped woman with more than 150 and top scorer with 115 goal. She has added the dimension of ball control for this World Cup.

HOPE SOLO, UNITED STATES

The Americans need to rely on goaltending more than ever at this World Cup with so many nations producing big scorers. Solo is regarded as the most athletic and the best goalkeeper in the world.

LOTTA SCHELIN, SWEDEN

Made her international debut at 17. Now 26, she is a complete player and multiple winner of the Swedish player of the year award. The striker has performed well in international play and hopes to drag her team to a final in 2011.
