Hargreaves sidelined again
By Sports Network

MANCHESTER, England -- Manchester United's Owen Hargreaves, who has played just 39 matches since joining the club in 2007, will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

Hargreaves, a Calgary native, joined from Bayern Munich for nearly $28 million, but his contract runs out at the end of the season and he could have played his last match for United.

"It is a shoulder injury. It has just brought his season to an end," United coach Sir Alex Ferguson said. "He has just carried bad luck all the time he has been here. I am pretty sure he won't be playing this season.

"His contract is up at the end of the season but I don't know what is going to happen."

Hargreaves last played in November, when his long-awaited return from injury ended after just five minutes because of a new hamstring injury. He played for England at the 2002 and 2006 World Cups and Euro 2004, before injuries started to derail his career.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
