Barca signs $225M sponsorship deal
By Sports Network

BARCELONA, Spain -- Barcelona reached a sponsorship deal with the Qatar Foundation worth $225 million Friday, and will use the foundation's name on its jerseys for the next five seasons.

The deal starts in July and runs through 2016, paying Barcelona approximately $40 million a season with bonuses possibly increasing the deal. In the 2010-11 season, Barca will also receive $20 million for commercial rights.

The Qatar Foundation will join Unicef on Barca's shirts. The sponsorship deal is the largest for any soccer team. The Qatar Foundation focuses on education, scientific research and community development.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
