Suarez suspended for biting
By Sports Network

AMSTERDAM -- Ajax suspended striker Luis Suarez for two games on Monday after television replays showed Suarez biting PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal on Saturday in their 0-0 draw.

In a statement on the club's official website, Ajax announced the suspension and stated that it was "because of what happened during Ajax-PSV on Saturday night."

Suarez was also fined an undisclosed amount by the club and his suspension will begin following Tuesday's Champions League match against Real Madrid, meaning Suarez will miss league contests with Venlo and NEC.

The incident was not spotted by the referee during the match, but Suarez could still face discipline from the league as well.
