Lampard suffers another setback
By Sports Network

LONDON -- Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed on Friday that midfielder Frank Lampard will miss an additional two to three weeks after suffering another injury setback.

The 32-year-old Lampard has already missed two months of the season after a hernia operation, and according to Ancelotti he was on the verge of returning to the team before he sustained an adductor injury in training on Thursday.

"I think that he will be out again for two or three weeks," Ancelotti said on Friday.

"We are very disappointed because he was very close to coming back. I didn't joke in the last press conference when I said one week but he was unlucky."

Lampard's setback comes at a bad time for the Blues with fellow midfielder Michael Essien serving a three-match suspension after his red card against Fulham on Wednesday.
