Ronaldo brace keeps Madrid on top
By Sports Network

Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid got two late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo to earn a 3-1 win over Hercules in Spanish La Liga action on Saturday.

With the win, Madrid was able to keep its one-point lead over Barcelona in the La Liga table after the Catalan Giants earned an impressive 5-0 win over Sevilla, also on Saturday.

Madrid went down 1-0 in the third minute on a David Trezeguet goal before Angel Di Maria equalized 52nd.

That was how the score stayed until Ronaldo scored two in the final eight minutes to propel his team to victory.

Barca got two goals apiece form Lionel Messi and David Villa each scored two goals to push Barca to the dominating win.

In the other la Liga match on Saturday, Valencia earned a disappointing 1-1 draw with last-placed Real Zaragoza.
