Kuyt could be out until 2011
By Sports Network

LIVERPOOL, England -- Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt could be out until 2011 after he suffered an ankle injury while playing in a Euro 2012 qualifier for the Netherlands on Tuesday.

Kuyt sustained the injury in the first half of the 4-1 win over Sweden after he landed awkwardly following an aerial challenge.

He was taken to the hospital and Dutch manager Bert van Marwijk said that he feared the injury could be "serious" and that initial indications were that Kuyt is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Making matters worse for Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is the fact that defender Daniel Agger also had to be taken off on Tuesday while playing for Denmark in a match against Cyprus, which could further hinder his comeback from a groin injury.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
