Lampard to miss another two weeks
By Sports Network

LONDON -- Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard faces another two weeks on the sidelines as he continues to recover from a hernia operation, the club revealed on Monday.

Lampard will miss Chelsea's Champions League match with Marseille on Tuesday as well as a big league contest with Arsenal this weekend.

He has also been ruled out for England's upcoming Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro on Oct. 12, but manager Carlo Ancelotti expects him to make his return to the team on Oct. 16 against Aston Villa.

"Lampard can't play tomorrow," Ancelotti told the club's official website. "If he doesn't play with us, he is not able to play for the national team.

"He needs more time than we expected for his rest. After these games there will be an international break and he will be ready for the games after the international break."

Lampard scored one goal in three games in league play so far this season before undergoing his operation.
