Evra appeals five-match ban
By Sports Network

PARIS -- France World Cup captain Patrice Evra plans to appeal his five-match ban from playing for the French national team.

Anelka received an 18-match ban, effectively ending his international career, Evra received five games, Ribery three and Toulalan one.

Anelka's argument with coach Raymond Domenech at halftime of a 2-0 defeat to Mexico started a serious of events that led to the team refusing to practice.
