DARREN FRIESEN -- Calgary Sun

Mother Nature has once again blessed some ski resorts but hurt Canada Olympic Park.

Goat's Eye Mountain was able to open last weekend at Sunshine Village, thanks to more than 30 cm of new snow.

With Goat's Eye opening, Sunshine Village now has all three of its mountains running.

Nine runs, including Sunshine Coast, Old Chute and Afterburner are accessible off the Goat's Eye Express quad.

Meanwhile, word out of Golden, B.C., is Kicking Horse has too much snow and wants to share it with eager powder hounds.

With more than 350 cm of fresh stuff at mid-mountain, Kicking Horse has pushed up its opening date to Saturday.

Also, if you're hoping to get some turns in at COP in the next couple of days, make sure to check that the Calgary hill is open.

As a result of the recent cold snap, COP has shut down and won't reopen till the temp-erature rises above -30 C.
