OTTAWA - The Canadian Olympic Committee promised “the best ever” Pan-Am Games in Toronto in 2015, and will use the games as a springboard to brighter days ahead for Canada’s Olympic athletes.

COC president Marcel Aubut welcomed Pan American Sports Organization president Mario Vazquez Rana to Gatineau’s Hilton Lac-Leamy for a keynote address to about 200 delegates, including heads of national sport federations and athletes’ commissions at the COC bi-annual general meeting Saturday.

Rana, who had been in Toronto on an official site visit, said the 2015 Games will makes Toronto, and Canada proud.
