Concussion protocol obviously hasn’t made its way Down Under.

How else do you explain the aftermath of a vicious sucker punch in this Sydney AFL Premier Division match?

The incident occurred just before the 1:37:00 mark of the below video when No. 26 from the Western Suburbs chases down No. 31 of UNSW/ES before landing a left hook that dropped the victim instantly.

Bizarrely, play continued as if nothing happened despite the player appearing unconscious on the ground.

Replays caught the incident in full and it looked like No. 31 might have instigated the attack – although the aggressor will certainly suffer a much harsher punishment for what resulted.

At least one UNSW/ES supporter acknowledged witnessing the incident and can be heard calling No. 31 “a dog” on tape, along with a few other unsavoury words.
